Which method do you use for tick analysis?

Ticks are analysed with the help of specific technique called PCR, which reveals all clinically relevant Borrelia strains in the tick (causing Lyme disease) as well as other pathogens. The use of quantification PCR (qPCR) is not necessary, due to the existence of other factors affecting the infection transmission probability such as strain virulency, the time of tick-attack, physical state of the patient and others. Is the tick-positivity a reason to stop breast feeding?
